Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Biotech Tracker application. Contact contact@biotechtracker.dev with privacy questions.

Browsing without an account

You can browse the public calendar and company information without creating an account. Public browsing does not save a watchlist or personal calendar. Hosting services process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, URLs, and request times, to deliver and protect the service.

Free accounts

Clerk handles registration, authentication, sessions, and profile security. Clerk processes the information you provide to sign in. We store your account identifier, email, private lists, watchlist, preferences, and limited account activity records in our account database. We do not receive or store your Clerk password.

Cookies and storage

Clerk uses cookies and related browser storage to authenticate you and maintain sessions. Your light or dark appearance preference is saved in this browser; it does not require an account. Private lists are stored on the server for your account. We do not maintain anonymous watchlists in browser storage. Legacy anonymous watchlist data is removed when the app loads.

Why data is processed

We use account data to provide saved lists, authenticate access, apply preferences, support requests, and prevent abuse. We send a one-time welcome when you create an account. Clerk sends verification, password reset, and account-security messages as needed. Optional digests and catalyst reminders are off by default and are not currently available on this deployment. We do not sell account data or use saved lists for advertising.

Service providers and external links

Vercel provides hosting, Clerk provides identity services, Resend delivers account welcome emails, and Neon Postgres stores account records. For welcome delivery, Resend processes your email address and the message content; our database keeps delivery status to prevent duplicates. Providers may process data in countries outside your residence. Yahoo Finance, original disclosure sources, and other linked websites apply their own privacy policies. Activity sources receive server requests rather than your private lists.

Your controls

Open your workspace to edit or remove lists, manage sign-in methods and active sessions, export saved data, or delete your account. Deletion removes your application records and requests deletion of the Clerk identity. A minimal account-ID deletion marker prevents delayed events from recreating a deleted account. Provider backups and operational records follow their own retention and legal obligations.

Retention and requests

Account records are retained while your account is active unless you remove them. Contact us for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account. Do not send passwords or sensitive health information by email.

Updates

We update this policy as the service changes and display the revision date here.
